Ok I used to have WMM 2 without having SP2 But i had to format the HD
anyone know where I can get a copy of it without SP2 ???Since BIG M now only have in the service pack

You should still be able to download it from windows update. It will be in the optional updates. By the way, if you really take the time to learn about SP2, it isn't that bad, in fact, is very useful.

Is WMM any good? I've never used it for anything. I'm just talking for basic editing. I have some more complex stuff that I don't even want to get into for video--I use it for sound recording (think 32 track) but it has a huge learners curve. Would like to find a simple video editing tool that won't make me regret learning it a couple hours into checking it out.

Meh... I believe it will only export to WMV files. If that's what you want then it's not bad. The auto-scene detection is very fast compared to other programs I've used so you're up and editing pretty quickly after importing a file.
