Latest Updates Question
 

Hi all. Ive got a question for you guys here. Last night I let XP install some updates(stupid me, I know) and restarted the comp, now, the small planet+windows icon is stayin in my systray. Has this happened to anyone else, cause for some reason, its buggin the shit outta me.

Try turning auto updates off, that or your system is still trying to complete updates..

Its not tryin to complete anyhting, its jsut sittin there, stayin at 0. Ive restarted a c couple times...

Oh well...

Did you make sure that auto updates are off?

Mine also did that. Little upgrade globe in the taskbar. It showed up right after i did the SP2 upgrade. Seems there was a small update that was available after the SP2 one. It would just sit there and not show any download.
Go to the Windows update site and do a manual search for any available critical udates. If it is there, download and install.
My little globe disappeared after doing that.
