I just wiped my hard drive and I lost my region free DVD program. Can anyone suggest their preferred program?

I have used this program RegionKiller its free and has worked very well for me http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/3/7/3-7-18.shtml

I have also used DVDRegionFree V3.62 Got it on http://suprnova.org/ check under apps and then windows if thats what you are running

Maybe AnyDVD also at http://suprnova.org/ I have never used it, If you decide to use it let me know how it works

I use VLC (get it from www.videolan.org). Its an all-purpose media player/transcoder. It'll play just about anything you want it to.
