Got a new Home Theatre!

Just had to tell someone, I was pretty excited.

We had a 220gallon reef tank crack and break about 8 months ago, and my wife finally let me replace the home thheatre and TV that was ruined. She woulden't let me spend what I spent on the Klipsch, but I got good stuff, sounds incredible for such a small system.

2 - Botson Acoustics CR75's
1 - Boston Acoustics CRC
Paradigm 10" sub
4 - Paradigm PDR Cinimea Bi-polor surround's
Denon AVR-2805

She let me replace the TV with an LG MU-50PZ90V 50 inch

I was kind of leary on such small speakers in a 26x35 room but it sounds incredible. So warm and soft sounding and the picture on this TV with my Marantz DVD player is just fucking amazing (pardon my french).

All in all, was a little less then I spent on the system that got destroyed, but sounds worlds better, I hear shit I never heard before.

Sounds like a nice system. I especially like the Denon 2805. I've sold many of those receivers and everyone has loved them. It's a great unit. I like that it does full video transcoding. And your TV sounds pretty boss to. Enjoy it!

So your in the industry?

Maybe you can tell me this about the reciever then. The mic that came with it that you plug into the front panel that snaps off, and you can use it for the "Auto EQ" feature of the setup - why in the hell does everytime I run Auto EQ it sets all the speakers to +12.0 and the sub to -5.5. Wierd enough, the store I listened to this in, had JUST got them in and ran the Auto EQ the day before, oddly enough, he was in there fiddling with the settings as I was digging through all the stuff int he sound room. I had to return the sub because it was making a humming sound, due to living close to a radio tower, but replaced it with a PDR 10 inch, (Sorry I got an 8 inch not a 10 - now I have a PDR 10) - and told him what it did. He said to me that day I asked why I coulden't hear the sub real well, is because it set their unit to the same numbers. Any idea why it does this? Maybe it's somthing I was doing wrong?

Thanks!

You don't have to answer this, but if you don't mind, what is the "range" you paid for this system. I'm shopping, and thinking about polk audio and Onkyo. Not sure, but like what I heard in the store (of course) do you have any pointers?

Are you holding the mic at the listening position? I'm sure you are, but its all I can come up with right now. I'll do some research and see if I can get any more info for ya.
