Outlook express errors
Greetings!
I am having issues with OE. It won't load and says out of memory or disk full, both untrue. Also says msoe.dll won't load maybe a bad install. I spent over an hour on the chat with microsoft support. They said ummmmm...... I tried the registry fix that they said and tried the download and reinstall and still nothing. I am running XP sp2 even that didn't fix. Any ideas? |
Switch to <a href=http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/>Thunderbird</a>.
|
I second the "get a decent mail client" line :)

A microsoft product that is inefficient, inferior, and rife with bugs?
Surly you jest! |
Did you try reinstalling Windows?
|
Thunderbird!!!!!!
Go now my son........ |
I love threads like this....
They're akin to the IE problem posts with reply after reply of "Get Firefox; IE sucks!" You're comfortable with Outlook Express and changing programs can be a bit intimidating. So, instead of suggesting another program (which you should...switch to something other than OE, which is rife with humbuggery) I will direct you to some websites. Since the description of the error is so very vague and there seems to be quite a few errors with that particular dll mentioned, there are a few different pages with vastly different problems. For what it's worth, my money is on this one. But if that doesn't work.... There's this one and this one and finally, this one Good luck  |
Thunderbird all the way. You will never go back to outlook express. It was the Frist think i dl'ed after doing a drive wipe and install. Setup is easy, its just the same as entering your pop3/smtp settings. Took 2 mins to set up 3 mail accounts.
