Quad View
Now i know you can do Duel view with 2 monitors. And i know u can do span view over those 2 monitors. Its what i use now. But i want to do Quad view. With Them like 4 corners. the pic im attaching shows what i want. And u may ask your self why would i need this. Its cuz in programs like max and autocad u can do 4 views. And on 1 monitor those views get small. And on 2 monitors aint bad. u can have 1 monitor as a main view and ur second monitor you can have 2 difrent views. But if u could do 4 monitors in a square it would be hot stuff hehe.

then i woke up and had a idea....think......so yeah i remembered i could just add a pci card with 2 outputs and use it for the other 2 computers.
now the only problem now is nvidia software only allows Horizontal Span and Verticial Span and Duel View. Now i need to be able to make it Horizontal Span and Verticial span at the same time. So that all 4 computers work in the 4 corners mannner. Such as the pic above and not in 1 row
Maybe its not possable with nvidia software. Any suggestions? |
anyone know much about workstation video cards? I was wondering if any of th e workstation video cards supported 4 monitors. Ive looked at the quadro series and didnt see any that supported more than 2 monitors
What os and version are you running?
I remember seeing a card one time that supported four monitors, I believe it was a Matrox card. They said four monitors were no problem, but it sucked for gaming, but I dont think you care about that. Look up matrox cards and im sure you will find what you want. I think it was around 1000 bucks though.
i found a program named ultramon that suits the purpose nicely. Its alot nicer than nvidia nview options. You can set it up as duelview all the time. And hit 1 botton and switch it to 2 monitor Span. And then hit a nother botton and have it span all 4 monitors.
Matrox makes all kinds of multiple monitor cards. I personally us three monitors at work and just have windows xp control them. In XP you can control where they are by a simple click hold and drag. I have mine stacked like a pyramid.
Except for matrox, the only other cards that i know that do quad view is colorgraphic (http://www.colorgraphic.net) but as was mentioned above, they aren't good for gaming.
Note: i'm talking about 1 card with 4 video outputs. |
go look at 9xmedia and drool there.
thats some hot stuff bendsley but its just a tad bit out of my price range....still hot to look at hehe
