Possible to save streaming real media files?

Well whenever I try to save the source it's just a 100 byte file that streams from the net. Is it possible to save the actual full thing for offline viewing? And if that's possible, could I stick that on a CD to play in a DVD Player? Thanks for the answers!

Try to find a copy of StreamboxVCR on the net somewhere. Its technically illegal, so its not the easiest thing to find, especially with support for certain types of stream (as it was stripped out of later versions). From there its just a process of converting the ripped video into a format that you can put on a dvd (mpeg2 i believe)
