Microsoft Word Auto Help Woes
Greetings All,
I am trying to make a study sheet and I am making it in outline form so everytime I push return it will automatically add the next symbol like: I. (and I push return I would get....) II. or A. (and get...) B. 99% of time I don't want the computer to do this. Is there any way to turn this off. My sanity depends on it so if any one has any hints it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
Turn off AutoFormat. In Word 2002, it is located in Tools | AutoCorrect Options...

If Rubicon's suggestion doesn't work, what version of Word are you using?

The other very valuable trick is Ctrl+Z . This undoes anything automatic (like a new bullet point or capitalisation etc.) that the computer has just done without you wanting it to.
Bad computer. |
