How Do You Use Effects While Your Guitar Is Plugged In? Hey there, straight to the point. We all know you can hook your your guitar with a adapter and a patch chord to yoru comp. Now you can play and such, but is there a program that will give you effects while you play? More Detail below... Is there a software that will give you effects for your guitar on your computer? I know about Acid Pro that will give you effects, but it's after you've already recorded the track. I was wondering if tehre is a program that will give me the effect while I play it, and would be able to record it into sound recorder or anything. If there is can you please tell me the software please. Thanks for yoru time. |

if you have a soundblaster Live or Audigy card, you can hook it to the line-in port and use the built in effects for your guitar. It's got auto-wah, grunge, metal, jazz, overdrive, classical, and a few others that have slipped my mind. |

thanks buddy, I will check that out. Actually short after I put up this thread, I found a program called Guitar Rig 1.1 and it's pretty amazing, but it's 500 bucks. So, I guess thats out of the question. And I know this place isn't allowed to discussed pirating software. So, thanx cya |

A more expensive but very very cool way is how my brother does it. He bought a line six amp that with the right cable you can download all different types of tones and effects and download them to the amp.....well worth the money in my opinion |

What merkerguitars said, there is a guitar pod you can get from Live 6 that has a bunch of effects and amp models. You can prolly get it off of Ebay or www.musiciansfriend.com |
