Windows XP style vs. old applications
I've been running WinXP at work for a while, but I had stayed with the "Windows Classic" styling, so it still looked like Win98. I recently switched over to the WinXP style, and notice that some of my applications (the old ones) didn't make the switch.
Is there a free (and spyware free) way of making the old applications pick up on the WinXP styling? |
To my knowledge, there is not an application to do this. The older applications were written using old (standard at the time) Windows API calls.
For those that don't know API stands for Application Program Interface. the old apps call a function that says give me a button and it does...problem is it doesn't support the new stuff. I have the same problem writing code, I have to code for the folks running win98 and can't use all the cool looks of xp. |
