Capture screen as an movie?
Is there a program out there that can capture your screen and save it as a movie?
|
I used to use a program called FRAPS and it could capture games as screenshots and as movies (though the quality wasn't great due to the enormous amount of processing that movies require)
It was a long time ago though, I don't have it anymore but maybe google will help. Main selling point of FRAPS was the fact that it could capture direct3D output, something which other screen capture programs could not do (well), I don't remember wether it could capture regular screen output, but I would guess so. It was/is a Win32 application, I'm assuming you're running some type of MS Windows? |
Thanks. I'm trying to put some animations in flash, and I don't want to pay for a full version of flashamp so this is the second best way to do it. You wouldn't know of a program that outputs a list of the amplitudes from sound files besides flashamp? (I want to make animations to match a few music files)

I use SNAGIT for capturing screenshots, and have used it to capture desktop motion as video for training. This program rocks, definitely check it out!

You can try the Camtasia Studio product. It's not free though.
