linux and spyware
i know linux isn't NEARLY as vulnerable to spyware as windows, but is there a tool out there to get rid of tracking cookies and the like?

Clear the cache for your browser. Since there isn't nearly enough people using it for hackers/virus writers/script kiddies to really start paying attention, they haven't really written enough to warrent anyone writing anything to get rid of it. Also with the multitudes of browsers, it gets kind of tedious to write one program to clean cookies for 7 different browsers and such.
Just my thoughts |

You can always have the browser prompt you before it receives a cookie...this is Konqueror's default behavior.

i found an iptables firewalling script on freshmeat.net called jay's iptables firewall, comes with spyware (essentially tracking cookie) blocking, and can be set up to automatically update. it's works, for anyone that can use it
