Windows XP system icons
I already did a search for this and didn't find anything relevant to what I'm looking for, so please don't scream at me if this has been asked before :)
I was just wondering if there is a way to change my system icons. Say for example the "My Computer" icon or my "Recycle Bin" icon. I know that I could just buy Windows XP plus, but let's get serious here ;) I'm pretty sure there is a registry key somewhere that I can tamper with or something. thanks |
I have a dutch version of XP, so forgive me if I get some of the naming wrong here:
Right click on your desktop, Left click on properties, Left click on the Desktop tab (second tab), left click on the button 'Adjust desktop' (the button below where you get to chose your backgrounds) And that's it. :) You're there. Just click on one of those icons and use the 'Other pictogram' button (first one on the left) to change the desktop icon. |
If you want to change from Window's default using RelaX's method, you can find desktop icon's here:
http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...=desktop+icons ( I didn't include specific sites since the first one looks like it has a few popups) |
Cool, thanks. I never noticed that "Customize Desktop" button. I feel kind of silly now, but thanks for the help
