Email..Send/Receive Help Please I am using outlook with Windows XP. I used to receive emails automatically, and be able to send emails immediatly when I hit the send button. Since Wednesday, whenever I want to send an email, it goes to my "Outbox" and then I have to go into the send/receive and click on that button for it to be sent. That is also the only way I now get email to my inbox. I have tried going into the settings and seeing how to reset it to send immediatly and receive immediatly but cannot figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

What version of Outlook are you using? |

i know with outlook express, under the tools > options > "send" tab, there's a check box for "send messages immediately". under the "general" tab, there's another check box for "check for new messages ...." maybe these are unchecked? |

If it's full Outlook, go to options, Mail Delivery, and check "Send Messages immediately when connected" and "Check for new messages every X minutes" and set a time you like. |

I am using outlook 2003. I tried to do what soopafreak suggested, but no such options for sending messages immediately. |

i use outlook 2003 aswell, if you go to Tools - options - mail setup you can check "send immediatly when connected" and then under the same tab, beside it click "send/recieve". "Schedule an automatic send/recieve every _ minutes" I have mine set to every 3 minutes. Set that to something and check it. |
