No sound

I formatted today, and I got all the drivers installed, LAN setup (easist time I've ever done it after formatting.) However this time, I have no fucking sound. I have an SB Audigy SB0900 model number, and I installed hte drivers off of the disk, and still no sound. What the shit. I'm so pissed off, this has never happened before. My computer detects the hardware, but I get no sound. I tried DLing drivers from the site to no avail.

Speakers work.

And no, the audio control isn't muted =p.

Sound works with my built-in sound card, but no sound comes out when I hook the speakers into the Audigy.

Try setting the main sound device to your audigy.
It looks like your PC needs to decide which sound device you want to hear music from, and it chose the wrong one.

I have no idea where (I don't run windows atm) but somewhere in your sound settings should be a setting that allows you to select your sound device.

Have you tried disabling the onboard sound in the bios? Windows could be getting them confused if both are set to use the same irq's or something.

I had to do that exact thing last year when I reformated. Disable onboard audio (and LAN and MODEM and all the other onboard crap on my main board).

Have you tried switching "Digital Output Only" on? I know that my speakers require it to work and XP always seems to install with it off by default.

Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Advanced -> Options -> Advanced controls -> Advanced -> Digital Output Only

That worked! Thanks!
