TV Tuner Recording
I just got a new video card which doubles as a tv tuner. I got my hands on an ASUS nVidia V9250 5200FX Home Theatre. I can record video fine, but it doesn't record the sound. Does anyone know what I have 'obviously' done wrong? :p
Thanks a bunch. :) |
Make sure that you have the audio connection plugged into the Line In connection on your soundcard. If you plug it into the wrong port, you won't get sound.
Also, check your sound settings for your tv tuner. Do you hear sound properly when just watching tv? |
Yep, I can hear it fine when I'm watching it.

I had the same issue when I built my MythTV box. IIRC, it was an issue with one of the channels in the mixer being muted. Of course, this was about 6 months ago, and I havent messed with the box since then, so...

Stating the obvious here iam sure but make sure all your audio mic setting are not muted as i know some video capture/tuner cards actually route audio recording through the microphone function of windows cause the software designers where to lazy to write a proper audio capture/check redudency algorithem.
