Spybot Freezing - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

When I attempt to update Spybot, the program freezes and i eventually have to close it. It does the same thing on my friends computer as well. I use Ad-aware, SpyBot, and SpywareBlaster together.

Any possible cause for this?

This happened to me as well - try switching update servers from the default.

yeah, what tehblaed said...

when spybot finds updates, before you hit "download updates", change the default --from uniDo (europe) to the mirrors in the USA.

Mine was doing it also. I just left it alone for about 15 mins. and it started updating. Did not try the ix as the others stated. will try that next time it freezes.

If this continues, you may try AdAware as a free alternative

It's the UniDo server that freezes it. Once it tells you what can be updated, just change the server to one of the US ones and you'll be fine.

I use Ad-aware also but switching the server did it. The U.S. works and the Unido one is crap.
