W32.HLLW.Rirc virus??
 

Anyone know anything about this virus? It's on my computer at home as of this morning and I can't find a lot of information about it online.

My fiancee phoned me at work today to tell me that Norton AV found it in My Documents/... Xi.exe

Other than that I don't know a lot about it since I'm still at work. I had her shut down the comp. and I'll deal with it when I get home.

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

You're right. There is next to nothing out there. There's a virus called Rirc, but it's a backdoor. Anyways.. if it helps:

Symantec lists nothing other than it IS detected by the newest def. files obviously you have since you detected it, my best suggestion would be to hope to God that it has not been executed yet and just let Norton quarantine and delete the file in question.

It seems that Norton got it and quarantined it so all is good again. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
