burning a DvD movie (non pirate)

ok im not trying to pirate a movie here, im trying to burn some home movies to a DvD so i can play it in a standard DvD player

what burning software and creation software can you guys recomend

i want to create my own menues and all that junk

I haven't used the software but it looks like Ulead dvd moviefactory has the features you need.

It seems to be pretty resonable for 50 dollars and since I know you are not a pirate *wink* you plan to pay for the software if you decide to use it. *wink*

Nero Recode has some really nice features that can convert your imported movie files (avi?) into the files it needs for a DVD then help you create a menu system and finally burn them. Did great with some raw AVI's off my sony camcorder.

If your making other types of DVD's this answer wont apply to you.
