is there any program were i can talk on the phone through my computer ? like some kind of software i can download

If your using Windows I'm pretty sure that Netmeeting would do it. Not positivly sure but I think I overheard this.

The magic word is "VOIP" (voice over internet protocol). I don't have any experience with it, however.

Some chat programs (read Yahoo, MSN) will let you voice chat as long as you and the other person are both on-line, and have the same chat program loaded, which in the long and short run is much cheaper than VOIP and Netmeeting. Remember just because you are using the computer like a phone, long distance changes still apply..

Like Yahoo and MS Messenger, both users need to be online, but the sound quality is EXCELLENT and better than any others I've tried. If you're trying to call from your computer to a land line or something like that, then, yeah VOIP is what you want, and, yeah, it costs money.

i've had good experience with www.skype.com

and not to mention not ALL phone as VoIP compatible.

check out www.vonage.com
