Processor Freq Help
My motherboard has these switches that lets you chose the system bus freq.
it can be either 100, 133 or 166. the board is a gigabyte (ga-7va-c) http://www.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard...s_GA-7VA-C.htm and the processor is an athlon xp 2000+. anyone know what this should be set to? the mobo manual says "the internal frequency may depend on the CPU" AMD Athlon XP 2000+/266 FSB Processor CPU - Retail 2000+/ 1.67GHz that's the processor. plz tell me what to put the switch on. thanx |
I'm 95% sure that it should be 133 because that's half your FSB speed. Can anyone confirm?
|
yes the AMD XP's double the FSB so you would use the 133 (doubled is 266)
|
Yea just set it to 133 and you will have 266 fsb with that cpu
