Sorry if asked... Whats a good secure sharing application?
Whats a good application that is secure to share files?
|
What do you mean? A secure way to send files from one computer to another? Sure, there are plenty of them. I use SSH to do my Linux boxen across the web. If you mean a secure way to log into the P2P networks so the **AA cant trace you, sorry, I dont believe such an animal exists, at least not in a way that would be easy to implement.

You can try Freenet, but it gives me plenty of trouble.

A friend and I on campus work jointly on some Photosop artwork. Since he is on the other side of campus we set up a WASTE network so that we could securely transfer the files.

or something like a direct connect hub with an only registered users allowed policy

You could always use a ftp setup. You get full control over access on your files. Also, it is highly configurable so you can make it work around your network.
If you are interested, take a look at either Bulletproof FTP Server or Serv-U. These two programs are really easy to use and have a nice interface. Choose one that suits you better. |
