Cleaning the Registry

I need to clean my registry from all the odd crap that has been installed in it. Does anyone know any free reg cleaner that you can download?

There are a few good ones <a href="http://www.pricelessware.org/2003/PL2003SYSTEMUTILITIES.htm">here</a>. I use Regcleaner.

You could try JVTools, although I'm not sure if it's free any more.

There are no "moron proof" tools although some might make backups of the removed keys. However, a backup won't help if you can't boot.

If you're not sure what you're doing, you might want to avoid messing with the registry. A fresh install is usually the best cure.

Thanks everyone! I tried EasyCleaner with the link that sailor proivded and it seemed to work. My shut down is a bit sluggish but oh well I can live with it.
