mp3-cd players
I am assuming many of you here have a mp3-cd player...my old cd player finally died and now i'm looking at replacing it with a mp3 capable player (for my car).
I am considering the Philips EXP 313 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...onics&n=507846) Does anyone have another type of player? I would like one with a backlit lcd but i can't seem to find one that has one. Opinions? |
Panasonic.

I have this one and I love it.

Sony would be my first choice. I have the Sony X-plode mp3 player in my car and it's the shiznit. That is a deck unit, but Sony makes terrific portable players too.

i have some half decent koss one i believe. I would have to go check on that for you
I suggest, just like in the other thread, that you don't buy it with the mp3 option. mp3's just suck in my opinion. I get so frustrated when i'm trying to listen to mp3's on my player and it always skipps and does weird shit, and also takes like 100 million years to load. I fuck the mp3 shit and go with a better portable cd player, for the same price. EDIT: It might just be my mp3 player that sucks. Maybe there are some better ones, but if i were you, i would go with just a plain olde diskman. |
If the house starts to burn down I would grab the following items in order of importance:
1)Sennheiser 590's 2)Ipod 3)http://www.sonicblue.com/shop/_templ...del=190&cat=33 4)And if time-permitting "priceless" family photos, official papers and maybe the girlfriend. |
I've got this: http://www.amaxhk.com/products/napa/dav316/dav316.htm
Really nice all round, except for the colour |
here's mine: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pi...,28914,00.html
It supports both MP3 and WMA files and works great. And the LCD is backlit, actually it's OLED display. <img src="http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/Images/CarProduct2002/DEH-P8400MP_big.jpg"> |
I have had a RioVolt SP100 for close to two years and I love it. I would get a RioVolt SP250. Or go with a player from iRiver, they actually make the players for RioVolt.

My car was broken into for a $120 basic cd player couple of years ago so ever since then I have used a portable cd player and keep it hidden in the glove box or the armrest. Plus I live in the dorms so the car is parked a unattneded lot away from traffic. Thanks everyone for your reply. |
I'd go for a Sony MD-NET walkman, much more compact, won't get in the way quite as much.
