getting busted for using stolen passwords

Does anyone know if anyone actually ever gets busted for using stolen/hacked passwords for porn sites?

I know they can log your IP, but do they really ever do anything with it?

Good question! I dont know the answer but I'd think that technically you could be prosecuted.

It's expensive to prosecute internationally so the costs would far outweigh the return, so they pretty much just delete compromised logins as they find them.

But breaking into someone's online bank account or using stolen credit card numbers is a very different matter, they will hunt you down and slaughter you and everyone related to you, with much enthusiasm.

How can they prove it was you on your computer? Or that it wasnt accidental that you were logging into that webpage? or, that you thought you had an account there?

Well I haven't had any problems and I both hack and use stolen passwords :)

Yeah, I'm leeching two sites right now, and I'm just thinking if anything would make them angry, this would.

That leech addon for mozilla is amazing!

of course they can, its fraud and content theft. with your ip then can track you down if they wanted too, unless you covered tracks very well, whether they would prosecute is another matter, unless you were reallly stupid and sucked up all their bandwidth for hours on end.

i'd also say this is 'warez' and not only illegal but against tfp charter. bragging about what you do illegally on a forum is about the dumbest thing you can do, and how most of the 'leet' are caught.

very right there charlie.

so to sum it up. Yes they can, but will probably not.
