Overclocking Radeon 9500 NP

According to this article, you can overclock a Radeon 9500 NON PRO to a 9700. Somehow, it says you can open up 4 more pixel pipelines, but it may not work with some cards. Pricewatch shows 9500NPs around $130.

Has anyone done this, or know of some more information concerning this? If so, does it work with "powered by ATI" cards or only actual ATI cards?

It would be a cheap way to get some great performance. I'm all about "cheap" and "great"

It's a gamble - I brought one but can't modify it. It is a good card but I think it was only the olders one that you could change.

I think it was only the 9500 NP cards made by Saphire. My 9500 Pro made by ATI could not be overclocked until I flashed the BIOS.
