Possible to download streaming vids??
I don't think there is a way but, does anyone know how to download a streaming video and save it to your hard drive. I thought I figured it out once with windows media player but..I was wrong. Thanx for your help in advance.

If you go into your internet cache, you can find it usually. Just cut and paste.

the proggie i always hear people recommend for such things is called 'StreamBox VCR'.
here's a link - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/au...eambox_vcr.cfm and the d/l does work, tested. :) freeware btw. |
I personally use streambox vcr, but i have heard that asf recorder (which TrollInvestigtr mentioned) is also supposed to be good (haven't tried it).

ASF recorder, or Streambox are great. I cannot link to them, as they are on my "data" drive. Google is always your friend.

If you have an Audigy2, the software bundle that comes with it includes an app that supposedly enables recording of streaming media. I've never used it even though I have one (sorry, I just have this burning hatred towards Creative Labs software), but, um, hope that helps somewhat.

Sorry to re-hash an old topic, but this may be of some help. |
