Number Of "Save As....."
I apologize for all the inane questions, now and in the future, but I just replaced my primary drive and I am trying to get things back to "normal." Question: When you right click on something and chose "Save As..." or "Save Target As...." the default will only let me download two items at a time. I know there is a way of increasing that but I can't remember. Can anyone help me out? Much appreciated. Thanks.

I always thought the Right-Click, Save As thing was limited by the number of concurrent connections to the server (i.e. if you're only allowed to access five resources on that page at any time, you can only right click and choose save as on those five things). Anything after that you can choose save as, but it won't give you a choice of where you want to save it until one of the other things is done.

Damn, I know there is a way... As I've had it to 5 before... heck Maybe 8..... Just a guess for now, but would it be in Internet Options? I'll try looking for stuff in the morning after I wake up.

Regedit.com to the rescue! I change these values every time i reinstall windows. :p |
It was suggested in a link from above the TweakUI has the power to increase the number os Save As's so I downloaded them but I don't see how or where to increase these? Can anybody help? Thanks.

I use the same trick that Marburg posted above. It allows unlimited http downloads rather than just the 2. I know it breaks the http 2.0 standard, but hell, it sux to have to wait. What I do now is just make that modification and then export the registry key so I can simply double click that file on every machine I install.

I don't have those values, from the article above, in my Reg so I will have to add them but the article doesn't tell which kind: string, binary, DWORD, etc. I don't want to add the wrong value. Thanks.

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Internet Settings] Value Name: MaxConnectionsPerServer, MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value) Value Data: Number of Simultaneous Connections so i am guessing reg_dword |

Thank for the gentle pointer in that I had completely overlooked that aspect of the instructions. Problem solved. Thanks everyone |
