ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Is this really worth more then the normal 9800? From what I see the only difference is in the controller speed by only 53 Mhz in the 9800 Pro.

From what i hear, they test the clock speed and the ones that benchmark faster, they slap the pro on. and charge $100 more. just get a regular and clock it up if you need more.

Got anything to support that?
I'm looking at getting a Pro card hopefully but I still haven't made up my mind.

Did you go for the 128 version or the 256?

128. I heard from a thread around here that the 256 aren't worth that much.

Yeah the price is quite a knocker but will be useful for HL2 and DooM3, however by the time they hit the shelves there'll be better cards out ;)
