Favourite Browser Proggy...
Sorry if this has already been covered, however, I was wondering what everyone's favourite browser is??
I tend to use Netscape 7.1 more than others simply because it allows you to bookmark groups of tabs...and allows for multiple-tab browsing. The only thing that really irks me is that Netscape doesn't support Gestures (as MSIE does.) My qestion is this: Is there a great browser out there that I am missing that does everything right?! If not, is there an SDK out there where I might be able to create an add-on for Netscape to support gestures? |
ie
years ago i used netscape but at some point it got soo crappy that IE was simply better, since then i feel ok with ie , i tried opera and mozilla but nothing worked great. as a webdesigner i use the tool that most people use to look at websites

I'm using Avant Browser. Its a freeware browser that wraps around IE, but gives you stuff like popup blocking, tabbed windows, built-in Google searching, and other nice little options. I like it, mostly because I don't have to give up my IE features to get some more.

Opera 7 is awesome. I recently switched from IE 6 and I love it.
|
Oooh, Avant sounds good. I might have to look into that, because it sounds like it performs a lot of the features that. . . .
Galeon (a GNOME wraparound for Mozilla on linux) does. I love multiple tabs, can't get enough of them. |
|
internet explorer 6 and i'm happy with it.
it's pretty much universal and likes to integrate well with the other ms products i have. |
Firebird.
I design websites as well, though not as much anymore and designing for one browser is just evil. |
|
I started using firebird about a month ago as my primary browser over IE. I haven't looked back since.
|
Opera 7.11 is simply the best browser out there. I switched 2 years ago and I've never touched IE since. I've also never seen a pop-up in that time. Do they exist?? :D
|
I use IE6. I've always hated Netscape since back in the day because of it's crappiness. I wouldn't mind a popup blocker and tabs being added to IE though.

NetCaptor

Ok, so i feel kinda like a sellout, but i LOVE safari for OS X... really great and seems to not have bloat written every where it can and it looks smooth too. have not had a problem with it ever and it fast. about as good as opera without as many compatibility problems. Not to mention a flawless popup blocker!
|
Firebird all the way. I actually tried it because of suggestions I got from people here. It's great, I love it.
|
Throw in another vote for Opera 7.11. I'll never use another browser that's available right now. (Who knows? Someone might improve.)
