What's your indispensable Freeware?

So basically I recently posted something about a spellchecker that I’d found on t'internet and it got me thinking to ask the question

"What's the freeware you like to use on your PC"

So I'll add mine it's the spellchecker (now) from

http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/

I use MSN and like to use it at work therefore the add-on Msn Plus! from Patchou is fantastic, it'll hide msn by pressing Ctrl + Space, you can send sounds, you can predefine texts and you can send more text, there is also a load of stuff you can make yourself using plug ins (well I can't as I can't program but some people may be able to do it themselves)

http://www.msgplus.net/

And now I can't think of anything else I regularly use (I'm sure I thought of more last night, anyway I can always add them later).

So what do you use (basically this thread is a way of me finding more useful programs!)

EDIT, Winamp 2 i use alot too on my other PC

Ack! I just spent 20 minutes typing a reply for something like this in another thread!

Unfortunately, I'm a Mac user so it'd be pretty pointless though. In an effort to spread the love between the platforms though, I will share my work. :P

Mac Freeware

that stuff, and video/audio codecs from the GordianKnot codec pack, are all that i have that would be considered 'freeware'.

my general tendency is to just use the best tool for whatever, whether it be 'Freeware' or 'Payware'.
i don't use 'freeware' as a choice criteria, just happens that there ARE some good freeware utils.

Yeah I forgot to mention the 'don't install the sponserware that's added with it for MSN plus'.

As to payware over freeware, I mentioned freeware as it's stuff I want to be able to put on my PC, and now as I’ve grown up a little I’ve decided to have a 'clean system' where everything on it is owned by my dear self. Fair enough if something is truly indispensable I might even go out and buy it (shock horror)

Well, technically...

Freeware

Not trying to get on your bad side. I'm just up _way_ too late. Besides, that thing was really buried. A new thread was prolly a smart move.

Yeah ok as you said there was a thread like that one, but now we have a new one! I'm not bothered I’ve been on boards where I’d have been proper flamed for such a silly mistake but as you said it's nice to have the whole thing start again, this time I can watch it develop.

I'd also like to add ad-aware to my freeware essentials and MAME for general nostalgic amusement

Already covered.
Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

This is why these threads exist.
