i wanna know what each person browser opens to when they get on the net and any special reason why

Mine is one of 2 i go back and forth, either the TFP

homepage is my uni's page... but first places I hit are Fark, Yahoo, TFP, Straight Dope, CollegeHumor (in no particular order).. I'm going to create my own custom portal page that lists what's on TV for me at that time and the weather (and other crap like that), but I haven't gotten to it yet.

That's exactly what I do as well! about:blank lets IE open quickly without worrying about actually connectign to anything. The links bar is a great place to keep links to everything I visit frequently!

Mine is set to excite.com because I use their free email service and can personalize my settings to show miscellaneous things such as news headlines, the weather forecast, my horoscope, quote of the day, today in history, etc. Pretty nifty, but it takes a while to load.

about:blank all the way. I like the speed at which it ... ah fuck it, I'm just too lazy to always want to go to the same page, so it's easier for me to load a blank page and decide from there, rather than always loading Google or something else.

Another vote for about:blank (or the corresponding thing for whatever browser I'm using).

I'm a web developer, so I've usually got at least half a dozen sites up on my screen at once. It would be a REAL pain to load msn.com or something every time I cracked a fresh browser window.
