To sum it up, It's got all the programs you might want to download after a fresh windows install. It's got all the browsers, messengers, security tools, runtimes and other utilities in one place. Just check the ones you want and it downloads them. I haven't got to really use it yet but I'm sure I will soon.

just windows? I was going to re-install my windows xp to hopefully rid myself of a virus ( i have an IRC bot virus that I want to get rid of). Will ninite install on the factory delivered XP? I think it's SP2.

Somebody suggested that I install Ubantu instead, I don't suppose Ninite works with that? It does say for fresh windows install.

No, It doesn't have windows. It's just got the programs you'll likely want to download after you install your own copy of XP.

I believe Leto was asking if Ninite works on Linux. In fact, it does.

There is a similar service at Quick & Easy PC Setup for Windows 7 - Allmyapps. I couldn't tell you which is better since I haven't had to use either yet.
