Network Setup

I have a router and an internet connection. I have 3 computers connected to the router. One of which is with a wireless connection.

I set all this up a couple of years ago and I have completely forgotten how I did it.

And now my son tells me that he can use his Nintendo DS with a wireless internet connection but he needs to know my password.

How do I reset my password for my internet connection? I do not even know where to go on my system to find this information.

Depending on the router, there may be a hard reset option that takes you to a default password.

Try searching online for the instructions, and then SAVE THEM to a local machine - becase as soon as you shut it off, you'll lose your connection!

If you can reset, just make a new password. On most networks, you can view the network router by sending a web browser to http://192.168.0.1

I would guess that he needs a password/passkey to gain access to your wireless net, that should have nothing to do with your internet connection password.
There is also a chance that your WiFi is setup to only allow certain MAC addresses to connect then the MAC address of the DS has to be added to the list of allowed addresses in the router.

Best of luck
