Free picture/web hosting recommendations

I did a search but came up empty, what are your experiences with free services like these? I'm primarily just looking for something to host photos for free that can be hotlinked to forums and such...but a general web host that allows the same thing would be more preferable, especially one that allows FTP uploads. Recommend me somewhere!

I use picasa and photobucket roughly evenly. I doubt you'll get an ftp uploader with any free services, as that would circumvent you looking at the ads that pay the server bills on the free service. Picasa does have a picasa client, though, and for all I know they may be able to recieve FTP protocol through some hacks.

The best bet for your data and ease of use is to simply find some cheap, reliable webspace...I host tons of images, none of which are in free hosts...I have some private file servers, if you want, you can get an account for a nominal fee...
