Memory Cards for PDA vs Cellphone
I need the help of the smart people here at TFP.
My cellphone can use this memory card. and my PDA can us this one. They look exactly the same to me. Does it matter what brand I use in either device? Can they share a memory card? Also, if I take pics with my cellphone and save them on the memory card, how can I get them on my computer in a printable size format? Thank you for letting me pick your brains on a subject I know very little about. :D |
MicroSD is quickly becoming the only memory stick that phone Mfg's are putting into their devices. I currently have a 4gb MicroSD in my phone.
The Verizon page you linked isn't pulling up, so not sure what it shows. However, if you get MicroSD, they usually come with larger adapters to change to the SD format or plug into a USB adapter. Here is a link to Newegg.com's microSD offerings. Personally I really like Sandisk as a brand. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...68&Tpk=microsd |
The links in the OP do not work. However, I can assume that the cell phone takes MicroSD cards and the PDA takes miniSD cards. Yes, you can use the same card in both devices provided you have an adapter for it such as this:

I am so sorry the link didn't work. The one in the link, for the phone, looks exactly like the one for the PDA, like the one from newegg. Except the one from newegg is 1/2 the price! Thank you both so much for the information.

WARNING!!
Check with the phone manufacturer what the maximum capacity of card is that works on their phones. I have a Nokia E65 that uses Micro SD cards, but can only take capacities up to 2Gb, even though cards come in sizes up to 4Gb. |
