CrossLoop - Sick VNC program to remotely repair computers
 

I've recently discovered this fantastic program called CrossLoop, which is a watered-down, super-simple VNC Client/Server combo. Absolutely perfect for repair jobs where you just can't be at their PC but at the same time, you can't explain it to them.

I used it to fix a guy's sound the other day and it was good. It's laggy and shitty image quality, but it's one of those tools that gets the job done.

I've created a login so people can track my previous jobs. This is useless if you're just performing friend-to-friend tasks I suppose, but if some stranger on the internet needs help you can prove yourself worthy.

I just figured I'd give TFP a heads up. I've used VNC before on repair jobs but it's generally a PITA so I avoid it. I'll be using this more often now.

Anyone else have any VNC stories?

At work we use Gen Control, a 1-way VNC program for domains. It's incredibly useful...just open the program, scroll to the PC on the domain, and click connect. Full control of their PC without them installing anything. Only works on domains though (for obvious reasons). If we didn't have this program our workload would go through the roof.

currently i use logmein for work and home. its free but there are a number of options for pay products.
