can you access the Display Properties at all? or when you change it, it just doesn't do anything?

I can access it but its all greyed out.. and when i reboot the picture i have set flashes then disappears. i have a dell and its only a year old and of course you no longer get cd's to repair or anything. I tried to set everything to default settings but that didnt do anything either. I no its a minor problem but I think its strange.

I've seen something like this before, and Spybot Search & Destroy and Adaware fixed it

Download Spybot here, scan your PC and get rid of the bad stuff

Download Adaware here, scan your PC, and get rid of the bad stuff

Two very straightforward programs - run them and then see if that fixes it!
