Laptop touchpad issues.
I have a sony vaio pcg-v505ex that I picked up for really cheap on Craigslist and I figured there would be a few things wrong with it since it was so cheap.
I was able to fix, the fried battery, the spotty hard drive, and the lack of power management software (in the order of ebaying a new battery, reformattng and putting a fresh install of XP on here, and redownloading all the software from the sony support site for this model) Problem I had was before i fixed any of this stuff, every few (10 mins or so) the touchpad would stop responding, or respond in a manner of being really jerky and unresponzive and remain this way for about 10 seconds. its a really minor issue, the touchpad software is up to date and everything so I think it's mechanical at this point. is it worth figuring out or should I just stick to using a 3rd party mouse when I plan on doing mouse intensive operations? I wouldn't even know where to start in trying to fix this from a hardware standpoint, this is my 1st laptop. |
Yeah-yeah, get yourself a good peripheral device instead.
I highly recommend the Logitech Trackman Marbleball Wheel. Trackman: Cheap, durable, comfortable and lasts forever Modified trackballs like this kick mice and touchpads to the curb... and stomps their jaws open a la American History X. :surprised: |
