How do you convert Flash FLV video Files?

It is no secret that I hate flash video. But I have a bunch of .FLV files on my computer and would like to convert them into mpeg/avi/divx. Is there any free program out there that will do this.

Or am I stuck using Camtasia to record the screen and then save the video in a different format after that?

Thanks.

Or you could get an .flv player...

This is the one I use and it's good enough for me.

EDIT #23659: Here's the link to the encoder/converter: http://www.download.com/Riva-FLV-Enc...=dl&tag=button

You can try this program called super. I've tried it once or twice and it seems to work.

Is this a possibility?

Is this because the flv player(s) are so ... crappy... for lack of a really descriptive word?

I went through six or maybe more of the usual run-of-the-mill flv players before one of my good buddies pointed me to this flv player.

It's called, nFLVPlayer and you can get it here:

As the author states, he needed something decent and it wasn't available, so he wrote one that was. That type of situation usually leads to a good product.
