HELP! Deleting History
Help, how can I delete the history that shows up in the address search bar. If I put in any letter, certain web pages show up...and there are some, ok, many that I do not want my wife to know I have been to.
I have tried clearing my history, cookies, recently visited pages, which does clear everything, but still they show up in the address bar if the first letter is put in. I am running windows 2000 professional. Thanks |
what browser are you using?
in Firefox: click Tools > Clear private data... > (select what you want to clear) > clear NOW. in Internet explorer: Tools > internet options... > clear history. worked for me. |

In XP you right click on the taskbar, go to properties, start menu tab, click customize, then hit "Clear" next to the recycling bin icon. It's probably similar in Windows 2k.

It's your cache that you need to clear, not your history.
