Free unzippers
Can anyone recommend a free unzipper for winzip files?
I had a winzip evaluation but it ran out and I really don't want to pay. |
WinRAR can handle zip files, and has a free downloadable that doesn't expire.

7-Zip is sexy.
http://www.7-zip.org/ WinRAR is old and ugly looking. Does anyone else feel this way? |
I'm right there with you MikeSty for windows I use 7-zip for sure.

third vote for 7-zip

I'm a big 7-zip fan, but am having great luck pointing Windows customers to IZArc. It handles the usual formats and people tend to find the interface a bit simpler.

But now, I bought a subscription to WinRAR. But I still think that IZArc is just as good. |
for basic needs, what's wrong with the explorer OS unzipper?

if you're winrar is like my winrar, you can just ignore its exhortations to get you pay. i've used 7-zip and it worked fine.
