snippet of conversation overheard today
today at work, I overheard part of a conversation today. we are at the tail end of a major construction project and amidst all the noise at that end of the plant, I hear this bricklayer supervisor (a complete fool, we call him Bob the Builder, and believe me, thats NOT a compliment) telling some guys the following.
Bob the Builder: ...too much RAM. It had 64 and I doubled it to 128. Now I think I have too much RAM." other bricklayer: "...(garbled)..." Bob t B: "oh yeah, you can definitely have too much RAM." I had to walk away at that point. But not, of course, before relating this tidbit of unintentional humor to one of my coworkers standing nearby. Then I walked away with tears nearly in my eyes from laughing so hard. |
well, in theory you could have too much ram....
if you have a weak ass processor/computer that doesnt really utilize it all, then you are just wasting money, thus you have too much ram. |
I'm trying to remember when you only got 64 meg of RAM with a system...Pentium 1?

But it's been a good year or so now, probably costs more to put in that little over say 128 or 256 at this point.... |

To change the subject....Isn't there some website where someone posts funny things they overhear daily? I forgot what it is. It's a pretty funny site.

FYI in win98 over 512 is to much ram, 98 wil not address it correctly and actulay cause errors and crashes. You can fix it with some sys.ini fixes and it does calm it down but for 98 512 is to much ram. But non the less it still funny and I would have laughed as well.

damn....
