Outlook Express
How come whenever I attach a photo to a message using Express, the photo gets opened in the body of the message? The attachments are there also but the photo itself opens up under any text I add.
Only photos do this. Any type of text doc such as a spreadsheet, word precessing doc works like its supposed to. I'm running, XP Pro, Outlook Express 6. Thanks for the input. |
i dont know, but it does to mine too, i guess its kind of a convenience feature or so.
maybe oe has a feature built in so that you can preview pic's....this is how it does it in newsgroups. people attach pic's to posts and you can see the pic w/o opening up the attachment. |
I guess it doesn't take any additional space or use additional resources but it is annoying. There has to be some type of setting that we should be able to turn off.
|
You have to change some settings. I can't remember where. But it has to do with the mail format you want to send out. Set it to text, instead of html format.
This should prevent attachments from being chucked into the mail body. |
Because you have to click insert file attachment not picture.
|
File attachment works and keeps the file from being displayed when sending out but it still shows up upon receipt.
I'm half way there. Thanks! |
