MDF and MDS files
how do you open/install mdf and mds files. what program do you recommend to open these files? can you take me step by step through this process???

They're CD images (exact copies of the CD) in binary format. You need a virtual CD drive like Alchohol 120% or Daemon Tools. Or, you can use a burning program like Nero to burn the image directly to a CD and use like you would any other.
Daemon is free, so I'd go about searching for it. |
Lastest version of UltraISO will open, mount, burn from these files. Alchohol 120% is a little bloated to me.

What if the file is bigger than a CD? As in approximately 2 Gigs for the .MDF file????

The it is a DVD image. It goes on a DVD, though not the full size of a DVD.

Is there any possible way for me to open up the file and play it on my computer with out a DVD recording device????
