Upgrading an external hard drive?
 
I currently have a 120 GB Western Digital USB 2.0 hard drive. Is there any reason I cannot stuff a 400 GB Seagate drive into it and expect it to work?

I don't think so. If I remember right, all that is is a USB to IDE interface. Unless the USB controller in the enclosure can't handle it, you SHOULD be A-OK.
