I can't post replies
I'm not a user of Internet Explorer or Windows. Recently, something has changed where I cannot post replies to the forums. I've tried with both Firefox and Konqueror on my Linux machine. I hit Submit and it just recycles to the post, and my reply is nowhere to be found.
Any ideas? I can post with IE on my friends machine just fine, but going to his boxen everytime I want to post at the tfp is not acceptable. Thanks for any help. |

that was a pretty good reply right there... does that mean your problem is solved?
|
hmm, maybe its just this post...
http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...13#post1202313 I can't reply to it. And I started the thread. |
Figured it out. TFP's javascript code isn't perfect. I had to disable Javascript in my browser for the TFP and now I can reply.
|
Looks like you are posting to it just fine.

Whoa, shit! Whatever happened in that thread deserves to go down in the history books.
It seems two threads were created to represent one? I found this out when I tried to report one of posts to be removed [since EleqTrizi'T had now posted in his thread w/o problem] but then the link kept cycling me back to the original thread? Until I finally looked at the url and saw this: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php/showthread.php/report.php?s=&postid=1198516. It appeared under every link on that page (Profile, Buddy, etc.). Just thought it was something interesting to point out. |

I figured it out! It's not even javascript. If I follow the link from an email and then try to post, it won't let me. If I go to the forums directly, then find the post I want to reply in, it works.
There it is. |
So clicking from the forums I get this link
http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...hreadid=576792 From the email this link.. http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...42#post1202542 Also, if I click on the TFP graphic on the top of either page (http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/images/...etin_logo2.gif), the URL's are also different... http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/index.php?s= and http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...p/index.php?s= respectively. The second link (directly above), doesn't work, BTW. |
