forum search function?
 

How come the forums search function doesnt work? I get told I am not authorised to use it... thats kinda unhelpful if am trying to find a specific thread to post something in rather than start a new thread....

help?

It's just a guess, but a lot of features and sections that use a lot of server load and/or bandwidth are currently turned off until TFP settles in on a new server.

Yep just ran into this problem, hope it gets resolved--dont want to start new threads that have been done to death

Guys. Like we said. we're running on a backup server. we don't have enough processing power to go around. searches are EXPENSIVE in regards to CPU cycles. so, we turned em off so that more than 3 people could view the board at once.(yes, thats an exxaggeration). So, y'all are just gonna have to be patient until we get our server where it needs to be and hooked up. sorry.

No worries!!! It's kind of fun, like when the power goes out for a couple hours and you have to use candles as a light source. :) :) :)

I used to be able to search. Since I became a donor, I can no longer search? Strange!

It's not about being a Donor.

You can't search while the server move is happening. It should be back in January when the other forums return.

Now just start all your posts with "I hope this hasn't been posted before...." :)

Cool. I had been searching around the whole board from any updates on how the move was going and/or an update on a possible estimated time of cempletion. Great news. Now I have something to anticipate. Thanks.:D
