College Life forum>?
 

i dont know how many people on tfp are in college but another board i use which is a bunch of people that i know at my college, we have a college life forum

like for topics people deal with in college....like help with a major, what you like about a university, dorm rooms...etc etc
.i know that most of the topice we deal with can probably fit into one place or another but it might be a cool idea if it had its own area....

but this all depends on how many members are in college.......

I'm for it but I get the feeling that a mod is gonna walk in here and say that there's already forums for those kind of things...

While I don't think mods would write it off without ANY discussion whatsoever, I've noticed the trend to be based on demand. Get a lot of threads going in Gen Discussion, Tilted Living, etc in regards to the issues you want to be in the new forum. When there's enough demand to fuel and keep alive a specific forum like the one you suggested... I think it has a much better chance of making the cut.

Amonkie hit it on the head. Boards only go up for serious discussion after there is a flood of that particular type on the entire board. (This does not mean spamming by just posting a bunch of college based threads all over the board) When there are enough and they generate enough discussion then the powers that be will mull it over. :D

and in the meanwhile ... I suspect that most of such type threads will fit nicely in Living, Knowledge, and How-To.
