Featured Member of the day
 

Hi, I dont know if this is already suggested or exoplored.
And im an idiot if it has just been mentioned lol.

But what about a featured member of the day or week.

Where we open a thread or something that features a certain member
It has maybe a pic, the person can post a few things about themselves.
Maybe the mods can feature a couple of there faveorate posts in the thread from the featured member.
and now for the Kicker.
Through out the course of the day people can leave questions for the person.
the person then can answer the questions and all.
I t could be personal questions.
Or specific virew points and such, like there perspective and things.
You can even ask them questions about news topics like what do you think about the kid in kansas who is all over the news for saving a dog from a gang of cats and such.

And only the featured member can answer those questions in that thread for the day.

Okay Okay so this is a lame Idea, but I thought that since this is a real community and it is. that this can be a way to get to know each other better.

Some people in a way live mundane lives day after day, this may be a way for some of us to be the center of attention for a day, in a circle of cool people.

Hey - I think that would be pretty interesting too, though I wouldn't want to have to pick the people... Maybe even a thread on our tfp staff (mods and so forth), although maybe people have already revealed as much personal info as they want to...

But the base idea is good, i'd love to read brief bio's on the big posters here. It gets my vote :).

Well I guess we can have a thread where you can post your name and that you are interested in one day being featured.

Then the Admin for the member of the day board will pm you asking you for a bio and possibly a pic.

when you send them the information that confirms your intent
include what day(s) you cannot be around to be featured.

the admin pm s ya back and lets you know your date.

that would be LOTS of work. I dunno guys, but you can start a thread asking people to post their own bio & pic, if you'd like. I'd suggest Members Playground as a good spot for something like that.

I'm for that sounds good

It may not need to be that hard,
if you do it weekly Member of the week.

You post the members bio that they give you a pic or 2 if they want.
and everyone who wants to can post them questions and through out the week, that member can answer the questions.

after that week you close that thread and start another one for the next member.
have it that on that section only the administrator can start the threads.
so it is only the one thread open for that week.

you can have manybe one other thread where people post there interest for being a featured member.

You can ask then for the bio and they can pm it to the admin.

You would only have to post one thread and close 1 thread per week.

But I'm not a mod, It may be a lot more difficult then that, I just don t know :)

not a bad idea.. somehow for active members only though
